These are my personal opinions based on my background and training experience.
This course is online.
This course materials included videos as well as slides and slide notes.
The videos and slides are taken offline and are just for you.
The lab environment is shared with other students. I don't recall the exact number of other student machines in the lab environment I was in.
At the time of this review, the course prices were listed as follows (Check the web site for actual prices!)
30 Days $299.00 USD
60 Days $499.00 USD
90 Days $699.00 USD
I signed up for this class with the objective of learning PowerShell tools, and ended up learning so much more.
This course will provide you an environment with which to practice movement within an Active Directory domain and forest, and a whole lot more. Plus, if you do like I did and sign up for this course first, you will get access to a PDF and videos and can learn a lot from them. And all the skills taught are critical skills when performing a Red Team assessment.
I didn't make a ton of progress in the Red Team lab, although I did accomplish what I set out to do and that was learn. I spent a whole lot of time watching the videos and then moving to the recommended PentesterAcademy videos. I spent a lot of time running through PowerView commands, and PowerUpSQL commands. I got fascinated by the MSSQL stuff and ended up burning up most of my time. I don't feel it was a loss to not do all the challenges and capture all the flags, but I do feel the 30 days helped me a lot.
I didn't have any troubles with the servers while doing the labs, but I did make a mistake with my jump box (the box you start on) and had to e-mail support. They were quick to get back to me, and quick to help resolve the issue (even though the problem was caused by me).
I will also say, the tools and data I had on my jump box were there the entire time, which is a huge time saver.
The exam started pretty early, at my request, and I started out pretty steady.
More info possibly coming to this review!
While I didn't get as much from my lab time as I would have liked, the exam was amazing.
An image of what the Certified Red Team Expert certificate, which I got several days after submitting the exam report and passing the exam, looked like.
